“But look! I will prove to you that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins..” Mark 2:10 CJB
( beyond merely preventing Satan oppressing us or killing us to take us out of God's purposes)
If you go through the Gospels (including Acts) and note every account of healing, you will probably be amazed how many there are. If you highlighted them all you would probably be surprised how many column inches concern healing. But more than that, see how many link healing with preaching the Kingdom and validating the authority of Jesus.

Many of the above specifically link healing with preaching, although not all do.
The healing verified the authority of the message and caused people to believe. John makes this link for all the incidents that he records in his gospel account. John 20:30
Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
So why does the mainstream / denominational church generally not uphold this truth and teach it?
He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you." (Ani YHVH rofekh)
Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.Deuteronomy 7:14,15
You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor any of your livestock without young. The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you.
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.Joshua 21:45
Not one of all the LORD's good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled
Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.
Psalm 118:17 - a messianic psalm
I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done.
Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
(Be careful how you talk about illness)
My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;
for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the LORD,
Whatever they plot against the LORD he will bring to an end; trouble will not come a second time.
Let the weakling say, "I am strong!"
"The Lord said to Satan, 'The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you!'"
(encouragement for those who love Jerusalem)
But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.
These are all useful scriptures for those pursuing Healing from the LORD. Like the New Testament scriptures above, they emphasize God's desire that his people be healthy.
As Christians, we are grafted into God's people, - in case you were wondering who these promises belong to .
